Ramsko (b. 2001) is an Austrian-Hungarian artist. She grew up primarily in rural Styria. From 2014 to 2020, she attended the HTBLVA Ortweinschule Graz, specializing in Graphic and Communication Design. From 2022 to 2026, she was in Professor Daniel Richter's Expanded Pictorial Space class at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Since her studies, she has participated in several exhibitions in Austria and internationally, including solo exhibitions in New York and Vienna, as well as group exhibitions in Germany, France, Estonia, and Italy.
Ramsko works in painting, drawing, sculpture, performance, and multimedia, but the majority of her work focuses on painting.
Her paintings often explore complex emotions, values, or dreams, extending to a form of social critique. The depiction of dreamlike, kitschy scenes serves not only to be "beautiful" but also as a kind of escape from reality. "To show the world what it could be."
One of the greatest drivers of her art is the need to come to terms with Weltschmerz. This is achieved either through escapist dream worlds or a rawer, more serious depiction of the problem. Her works oscillate between exaggerated kitsch and colorful hues, and raw, dramatic images.
