*1990, Rottenmann Markus grew up near Admont Abbey and was always fascinated by the frescoes of Bartolomeo Altomonte and the carvings of Josef Thaddäus Stammel in the library. He wanted to be able to do that too. He was interested in drawing, caricatures and comics. Later, the album covers of death metal bands became interesting, as did the techno aesthetic. In addition to drawing and painting, he also began producing music. He completed master classes in painting and sculpture at the HTBLVA Ortweinschule and was involved in the SAMA art and culture association as an exhibiting artist and as artistic director. He currently works in his studio in Graz and paints mainly in oil. Inspiration for his pictures comes from his studies of the environment, psychology, perception, aesthetics, politics, music and material.
